The second panel of this multi-panel frieze recalls an ecstatic vision I had in the early hours of January 1st, 2000, which I came to call 'The Vision Of The New Year', in which I crossed a bridge over a river of tears into what I experienced as a playground of the cosmos. The human figure is surrounded by dancing women, recalling images from my Minoan Honey series, which spring from a different vision in Crete in 2008, when I saw Minoan women dancing around me in ecstatic joy. The title evokes the feeling I had very often around that time, of sorrow that other people didn't seem to be able to experience dazzling visions in the way that I do. I now know that's not true - it's just that people don't often talk about them because our society doesn't value such experiences.
