Here, continuing the Dikta mandala, we see Rhea ('flow') giving birth to Dikta in much the same manner as later Greek tradition held that Zeus came into the world. Accompanied by a goat nymph and the Kouretes ('the youths') playing sistra, the fertile waters of the cave emerge from Rhea's vagina.
