This gallery contains a selection of formative artworks during a period in which my practice was moving from illustrative imagery into a paintings forged from a unique blend of acrylics, inks & markers on canvas. My 2007 work The Mind In The Cave represents my previous illustrative style, whilst the remaining works demonstrate my first forays into this new and exciting visual medium. Selected pieces are visually eclectic: a work inspired by a 2010 visit to a South African rock art site sites next to a tribute to two great artists, while a number of selections from my 2009-10 series 'Life:Blood' are also seen here. This series expressed the first results of my conscious decision to more directly express my personal visionary experiences in visual form, and the new medium I was beginning to develop provided the perfect vehicle for this emerging thematic direction.
