This mural changed quite a lot from its design. On my arrival into the community, Anthea Rossouw of Dreamcatcher Foundation asked me to adjust the design to show Khoekhoen people not simply taking shelter under the tree, but living their daily lives in its shade. Hence, we see a group of women gathered together talking, children playing and the men dancing and beginning to butcher an antelope that they have hunted and brought back to camp. In a subtle feature, one of the men is softly singing to the antelope's spirit, even as he begins to work.
