The paintings in this series of works from 2009-10 represent the first results of a decision to express visionary experiences in a much more direct and idiosyncratic way. Inspired by migraine-generated, psychotropic and dream visions alike, the only unified theme here is that of the human being. A central part of my artistic practice to delve into the well of unconscious and transpersonal experiences that form the deepest symbolic perceptions of humanity, and the direct expression of visions which were for me deeply iconic in my life and with a lasting effect on my perception, emotional landscape or relationship to the world is a continuation of that quest to look within...
