This is a series of cathartic drawings from 2010 that sprung from a lyric from a song ('Z is for Zoo / It's where I belong...') by Johnny Massacre, and used familar imagery and symbolismsfrom the past few years to exorcise some old self-destructive stuff out of me that no longer served any real function. These playful yet dark images function as a kind of inwardly-focussed set of self portraits expressed during a lonely summer of confusion and hyperactivity.
