The images in this gallery express something which is incredibly magical to me - the idea that in a dream or a vision one can apprehend beautiful and self-luminous scenes and apparitions which seem to come from the dawn of humanity, whether they be early agricultural corn spirits, Palaeolithic cave emblems or the vaginal flow of the woman who gives birth to the Milky Way. Here, archetypal images are mixed with personal experiences, and the gallery represents work completed before I began my professional artistic rpactice in 2007. Many of these works, though they shine in the eyes, have never been exhibited. |
