An image taken directly from a December 2007 dream whose meaning was lost on waking, this piece was a labour of lvoe lasting some three or four months. I have intended here to depict the angelic and organic aspects of an androgynous human being, following the characteristics of the dream, and for a long time I had no real idea what to name the piece. However, after a period spent in Crete and surrounded by the Minoan imagery of the Goddess of Epiphanies, the title for the work became clear. |
