2004 : Vector image (never printed)
This image contains the first few ideas of the final Sky 2004 piece, and gives an idea of how the image was constructed, particularly in the way that even in the early stages, each constellation interacted with its neighbours. Orion at the centre gestures towards the Argo Navis, which in turn is sailing on a vaginal flow (as yet unfinished but representing the Milky Way) emanating from a Goddess at the left. This flow terminates at the constellation of Taurus and beneath it, a whale dives downwards into the deep southern sky. Pisces is also represented as the two fish, and the head of Hunahpu is present also. |
