This piece updates the original and ageing 2001 image. Rather than being assymetric, this image depicts the mythical sky as a kind of egg, and a huge range of constellations can be seen - many more than in the digital image. Towards the top right can be seen an elephant, and next to that Gemini the Twins. A horse can be seen towards the top left, as well as a footprint. Towards the bottom left, underneath the Severed Warrior head can be seen Scorpio, and beneath that the Inca 'dark cloud' constellation of the Fox, dipping his tail into the water. Below Fox can be seen the Whirlpool into the Void, another pan-global mythical image. |
