at last the time vortex calmed
and i found myself
like quetzalcoatl
within the serpent's jaws...
spinning
and attempting to climb out...
but every time
i emerge a little further,
we spin together
and the serpent catches me again...
i still
and let the serpent of time
hold me fast,
my hands whirling before me...
an unusual entheogen,
engendering both stillness and chaos...
