i emerged
from the foam of the sea
to an ancient scene:
a family of ape-men,
a family of ancestors.
they eyed me cautiously,
watching and waiting
to see what I might do,
but when the interruption
seemed only to want to look,
they continued living.
they left me to look unheeded.
i don't know where he gets it from
but he pins me down and gives it to me...
