I love this image. It was taken when I lived in Japan - I was walking along a beach called Iso-no-Ura near Wakayama city and right past this beautiful young guy sitting with his surfboard. I asked if I could take his photo (I think this is quite normal in Japan - as a foreigner I got my photo taken loads by strangers). He agreed, put his hands together and kind of half-smiled. I took the photo, thanked him and carried on with my day. When I got the photo developed, I was struck by how his pose seemed as if he was praying. He also has two of the most beautifully almond-shaped eyes I think I have ever seen.
