This longform piece was produced from an array of images of the Virgin garnered from about a month of reserach. I wanted to create a piece which brought together many of the most famous Marian apparitions that have been records down the ages. Instead of depicting the Virgin Mary as coming down from heaven to make these appearance, I have given her history the sense of a 2000 year voyage across the world from the time of her Annunciation to the present day, wandering from believer to believer inspiring their thoughts and hearts. The apparitions depicted here are, from left to right: the Vision at Pilar, the Annunciation itself, Maria Uraca, Walsingham, Our Lady of the Rosary at Prouille, Mount Carmel, the Theotokos of Kazan, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Rosario of Chiuinquira, Lourdes, and the Vision of the Thousands at Fatima.
