This piece is taken from a petroglyph which suggests the sky at the time of the old equinoctial New Year festivals and so I felt the orange background here was reminiscent of new fire rituals in which many peoples both anciently and in the present day participate during the months of April and May. I have peopled the ibex with little figures suggestive of deity spirits or living souls to centralise its importance in the piece.
