An alternative to Song Of Heaven, being derived from the same rock art. Here I have tried to show the northern sky as a place where souls go after dying to be reincarnated. Part of the scope of this project was to attempt a reconstruction of some of the beliefs of the ancient artists and transmigration of souls was a common belief throughout many part of the Neolithic world. Here we see the souls moving up the Milky Way to the northern circumpolar stars before being turned around as souls living again and descending to earth down the serpentine figure. For me this piece expresses the enduring hope that humans have that death is not the end...
