These images are an early attempt to envisage the sacred through the depiction of episodes from world mythologies. I've never felt particularly close to any one religion, but when I consider Old European or Christian mystical themes, or shamanic themes from Siberia or the Amazon, then I do feel a profound respect for and resonation with those insights. Work visible here consists of ink and marker works expressing the sacred mythologies of the world's peoples, often taking petroglyphic motifs as a launch pad. Images of the Old European ship of fertility frame visual accounts of the Dogon creation myth and the sacred art upon Israel's Mount Karkom, and includes work exploring expressions of flood myths and archaic beliefs about the sky as detailed in my essay The House OF The Sky.
