The images in this gallery form part of an expanding development in my practice which is rapidly becoming a major source of commissioned work for me. Originally the series began in 2004 with Glass and Ave in exploring locations that I have always felt to be a bit sacred, then in 2005 a couple of experiences as part of the :: salviaspace :: project spurred me on to bring a dreamlike and organic quality to the work. I have tried here to suggest landscapes not as observed but as experienced by the artist, such that in contrast to traditional landscape art, I have tried to portray myself undifferentiated from the scene that fills the artwork. |
