TEXTURES & ANIMATICS
On this page are images of some of the textures and animatic test images produced during the making of the film. These were incorporated as backgrounds and environments for the Fox to interact with or move through. Adam and Gary came up with the idea of animating a fully three dimensional Fox moving through environments which were 3D, but in a flat-card kind of way. In the final film this has produced a visually interesting dynamic.

In the final film, the Fox was never viewed from the angle shown in the animatic below. Nonetheless, this image gives a good demonstration of how Studio 163's 3D Fox is constructed out of the texture I provided them. To my mind, it manages to well balance naturalistic fox-shapes demanded by the animation and the graphical texture of the original artwork.
