This one comes from a Hopi prophecy that at the end of the world, warriors will come from the west to start the world anew and usher in an era of peace. It struck me that the idea of western warriors bringing the world to an end might refer to a celestial event - precession of the stars is a slow movement from west to east and thus opposiute to the east to west rotation of the sky we are accustomed to. If warriors stands for stars in this prophecy, then stars from the west to recreate the sky and bring about a new World Age, or Sun. I have thus depicted the new Sun rising in the east surmounted by warriors on a rising tide of floodwaters.
